Training
Where and When?:
Mixed training takes place every Tuesday at the uni playing fields at Stepps, from 5pm to 6.30pm. Feel free to come along and give it a go: it's free, but if you're going to come more than once then you need to become a member of the Sports Union, a measly £20 for the entire year.
Equipment:
It's on the astroturf pitch, so bring astroturf boots or trainers, training gear, and shinguards if you have them. Sticks and balls are provided.
Transport:
The number 36 bus departs from the bus station every 15 mins or so, and passes along cathedral street on the way, stopping at the bus stop directly up the hill from the union and across the road.
Currently it's £2.20 for an
all-day ticket, which is cheaper than a return. The pitches are in
Millerston, get off after crossing the motorway and after the lochan on your
right, if it's your first time it's easiest to give one of us a shout (contacts)
and we can arrange to meet you beforehand.
