University of Strathclyde Judo Club

The Strathclyde Judo club is a small, friendly group of staff and students, with a mixture of beginners and advanced practitioners.

Restarted in September 2005, the club has gone from strength to strength, introducing new members to the sport every year and providing contestants to the BUSA (now BUCS) Championships on an annual basis.

Last season the club sent its largest ever team to the BUCS championships in Sheffield in March 2009. The seven players returned with a gold, silver and bronze medal which represented the best performance by any Scottish university.
